"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Forgiving God

If you’ve been following this blog since the beginning, I want to thank you.

Also, if you’ve been following this blog since the beginning, you know how I’ve been on a wild journey of transformation, sharing bravely and courageously–by the power of the Holy Spirit, in purpose.

But there is a lot I haven’t shared here, truly, out of shame and uncertainty.

Visions and memories–revelations–meant to strengthen and teach, to humble me. Some painful to see, many gut wrenching.

Loud cries from a broken heart signify healing, though they seem–in the moment, and from a darker perspective–like cries of despair.

God, the “Master Potter,” broke. me. down.

But He did it to edify me, to build me back up, and restore me.

He did it to reveal His faithfulness.

God humbled me to heal my heart and make me whole.

I know it sounds ridiculous.  Trust me, I know.

But He does it so we can fulfill a meaningful call on our life to be the helper He created us to be.

Which leads me to the purpose of this post.

I could find many reasons to “hate God” because of what He has put me through.

Or, I can open my eyes–and my heart–to see what He has done for me, the very reasons to thank, praise, and worship Him–something I have been incredibly confused about and resistant to.

I am blessed to have chosen the latter.

If you feel angry at God today, good for you.  It’s a start.  And, even if you *hate* Him, which I have done myself let’s be real, I want you to know He understands, loves, and would still forgive you.

In time, He will reveal His faithfulness, just as He did for me, and I pray you forgive Him, too.
