"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Thank you.

With the joy and sadness of the holiday season upon us, I wanted to take a moment to share a testimony and, again, say thank you.

My mother has been surviving liver cancer for the past two plus years.  The first doctor we visited hated cancer as much as we all do, but wasn’t able to separate his anger toward cancer and his care of his patients, so, before even looking at my mother’s scans, he angrily spoke death over her.

As he listed all that was going to go wrong and all the tragic and awful things that would happen to her in the following nine months leading to her death, something urged me to interrupt the man and ask, “Sir, do you have faith?”

His reply should not have surprised me.

“I’ve been doing this for thirty years!”  He exclaimed.

As I took my dear mother by the hand and swiftly led her out of Satan’s lair, God gave me an alternative.

He told me to call my gracious friend, Gail, an angel on earth, who had had a liver transplant several years prior, and who would help me find the right team of doctors to treat my mother.

Gail truly is an angel in this world.  She dropped what she was doing and immediately went on her liver board and asked the well-meaning community for recommendations.

Jackson Health was the unanimous suggestion and I proceeded to make an appointment for my mother and take her there, where a gifted team of angels, I mean doctors, reviewed my mother’s scans and medical history before coming into the room and speaking truth and life over her.

This God-sent team has been taking exceptional care of my mother (who is still doing well, by the grace of God, for the past two years).

The point of this post is to remind my readers–and myself–how we can trust God to deliver the best.  Listen out for his voice, a voice which speaks words that give life, and be patient, as he does provide.

With humility and love,

Michele
